Our Little Artist

Charlie and I are always searching for new and exciting things to do together, especially on the long days when we don't get out of the house. Since the weather has been so cold, we seem to have exhausted all of our usual games, activities, and toys. That is why I was so happy to come across a new idea when I was on Facebook. My friend, Patti, had asked for ideas to help entertain her toddler. One of the suggestions was to paint construction paper with water. Well, I knew right away that would be a big hit with Mr. C! He loved it, and took his artwork very seriously. He would carefully dip his brush into the water and look for just the right place to start painting. Then he would put his head down on the table and really focus on his work. He painted five pictures before losing interest, but I had such a great time watching him while he worked. He really does make me smile!

Ooooh....I love this idea! Paint stresses me out so I limit how often we pull it out ( I need to get over it, I know)....but my gang might have some fun with this!
