Burt's Pumpkin Farm

We made our way north to Burt's Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville for our second annual pumpkin picking adventure as a family. It was colder than I would have liked, but it was a beautiful fall day. The pumpkin patch was packed, and I think next year I might ask Nick to take a day off so that we can go pumpkin picking without hundreds of other people.

Charlie LOVED running through the rows and rows of pumpkins. You will notice that he is not looking at me in any of the pictures. That is because he was constantly looking around at all of the pumpkins and deciding where he wanted to explore next. His favorites were the huge pumpkins and the small ones that he could pick up. He liked running in between the big pumpkins and even gave them hugs. The small ones provided loads of entertainment as he tried to collect them and take them with him.

We also took a hayride through the mountains while we were there. Charlie loved standing up to look over the edge of the wagon and seemed to really take in his surroundings. He was very quiet during the hay ride as he looked around at the pumpkin patch, trees, creek, and autumn displays. It was a nice way to wrap up our trip.

After our hayride, we bought a few pumpkins, some yummy treats to share on the car ride home, and Burt's Pumpkin Bread Mix for another baking adventure. Then we packed up and headed home. It was a great way to end the weekend - spending time with my boys!

I said the SAME thing about taking a day off to go. There were just TOO many people there when we went. Ellie wouldn't look at us either--too busy! However, you got some great pics.
