Dear Charlie,
My sweet, baby boy, you are twenty months old today. For some strange reason that seems very old to Mommy. Maybe it is because in just a matter of months you will be a big brother and will be celebrating your 2
nd birthday. I find myself wondering how that is even possible?
It seems like just the other day your Daddy and I were anticipating your arrival and daydreaming about the day that we would finally get to hold you in our arms. And now, you have been with us for twenty wonderful months. The time has flown by, and you have grown and changed so very much. It almost does not seem right to call you a baby, and I am certain that you will seem even less like a baby once your brother is born. But, I have a feeling that no matter how big you get, I will always think of you as a baby. You see, Charlie, it makes no difference whether you are twenty months or twenty years old. When I look at you, I will forever see the tender, round face of the baby boy who made me a mommy.
Even though I wish I could freeze time and keep you right as you are, you will continue to grow. As your mommy, this will make me proud and sad all at the same time. So, keep growing, changing, and learning with each passing day, my little love. But, please know that no matter how old you are or how big you get, I will
always be your mommy, and you will
always be my baby. I love you!
Love,
Mommy
